What do I need to bring to first consultation?
Please bring any documentation that may help with your treatment eg: reports of x-rays, scans, MRI or any relevant information relating to your presenting symptoms. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing that is easily removable to enable assess to treat regions of the body adequately.
How long does a treatment take?
The initial consultation may take 60-80 minutes whereas the subsequent consultation 45-60 minutes.
Private Health and Payment Policies?
You are able to claim with your health fund depending on the type of cover you have, which insurer you are with and how often you have claimed previously. I recommend you check with your health fund as to what you are covered for.
Payment if required on the day of consultation. Payment can be made via cash or cheque.
I am pregnant. Can I have Bowen Therapy?
Yes, most definitely. Bowen therapy has amazing results for pregnant ladies, assisting with back pain, sacral discomfort and tightness with the diaphragm. Please remember to tell your therapist that you are pregnant when booking your consultation.
Is Bowen therapy an ongoing treatment therapy?
No, most conditions are essentially resolved in two to three sessions, however chronic conditions may require more extensive treatments. Many clients have routine maintenance treatments at different intervals to maintain body balance and musculoskeletal integrity.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
I require 24 hours notice on all cancellations for consultations. I often have clients on a wait list for appointments. Please be mindful of this when booking your appointments. In case of emergency, please have someone contact the clinic as soon as possible.
Is Low Intensity Laser Therapy scientfically well documented?
Basically yes. There are more than 130 double-blind positive studies confirming the clinical effect of LILT. More than 3000 research reports are published. In recent years some 250 papers have annually been published in peer reviewed scientific journals. Since LILT has a general effect, a wide range of treatments have been suggested, some well documented, some less documented and others anecdotal.

What are your laser machines?
1. Omega Med 9 Acuderm allowing laser therapy treatment of everything from superficial wound healing to deeper muscular penetration and laser acupuncture point stimulation. Currently using three probes:
46 Diode multiscan cluster - varying red and infra-red wavelengths plus 1 x 820nm pure laser diode.
915nm x 100mW - Super pulsed single probe. Effective for mobilising healing for chronic injuries through its more aggressive light delivery. Osteoblasts have been shown to be particularly responsive to this part of the spectrum.
820nm x 200mW - Invisible Infra-red single probe. This provides a penetrative, highly effective wavelength for soft tissue and sports injuries with fast resolution of musculoskeletal injuries and relief for arthritic, neuralgic and neuropathic pain.

2) Photonic 500 810nm/500mW, 655nm,/50mW. Continuous universal scanning machine. The Photonic 500 was designed for area therapy. Used for treating dermological, pain, acupuncture, wounds, burns, arthritis and lymphatic system.

What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that an emergency may come up that may prevent you from attending the appointment.
If you cannot keep your appointment or you need to reschedule it, you can do it over the phone, in person or online.
We respect that your time is valuable, and we appreciate that you understand ours is too.
Thus, we require at least 24 hours’ notice if you cannot keep your appointment so that we can give your appointment time to another patient who can attend.
If there are any circumstances beyond your control which prevent you from cancelling your appointment with sufficient notice you should let us know as soon as possible.
